El Camino de Los Altos Brocade Pillow Cover - Puntitos

El Camino de los Altos brocade pillow covers are handwoven by master weavers from Larrainzar in Los Altos de Chiapas in southern Mexico. Using traditional backstrap looms, these indigneous women weave intricate designs by adding colored, mercerized cotton yarn into the warp and weft. The traditional brocade designs from Larrainzar are drawn from local history and mythology. 

Brocade pillow cover handwoven on a back-strap loom with 100% mercerized cotton. Pillow insert is not included.

"Puntitos" is an array of colorful dots across a white brocade background (shown on right). Solid brocades in fiery tomato, teal and ochre are also available.
