The Colectivo 1050º collection of contemporary Oaxacan ceramics is produced using traditional firing and finishing by women artisans in rural Mexico. Made by hand, these fired clay objects are beautiful, simple and elegant. These women potters turn mud into beauty.
Produced from the black clay of San Bartolo Coyotepec, the Colectivo 1050º Domingo I Bowl is fired in an underground oven using a reduction process, which gives the pottery its characteristic color.
