We use a human-centered problem solving approach and design thinking tools to build design capabilities within those communities. Our projects ask designers and local participants to work together, sharing goals, ideas and benefiting from purposeful solutions. Participants gain valuable experience. Community needs are tangibly met through design.
CoDA trips offer designers an opportunity to shake things up in a supportive and relaxing environment and to work with new people in new ways, to share ideas, brush up on or learn new design skills and network with other designers.
Travel with purpose. Share your skills while taking in the sights, sounds and tastes of another culture.
No matter where you are on the spectrum of your creative career you are welcome to join us.
Travel. Share. Design. Learn.
CoDA collaborative design projects create solutions to meet local needs determined by the communities themselves. Designers and local communities work together and share skills, culture and ideas through a framework of design thinking. CoDA design participants gain valuable experience, a broader worldview and a greater understanding of global design practices. Communities gain new resources to prosper culturally and economically. The goal is for all to benefit from purposeful work and solutions.
The goal is to meet needs identified through design, be it economic, physical or emotional. Along the way we aim to empower, build confidence, understanding and create meaningful solutions.
