Sprout Enterprise® 2023 Impact Report: Funding Business Development
Created in partnership with Realize Impact, the R.I.S.E. Artisan Fund invests in early stage artisan enterprises addressing three key impact investment themes:

This year, we invested in Karghewale and ÉCHALE, and funded 2024 market development initiatives of seven companies from seven countries. We also continue to provide marketing and business development support to www.tilonia.com and www.sproutenterprise.net.
Launch of the Du Xhil - San Bartolo Yautepec Collection
The Du Xhil – San Bartolo Yautepec textile collection launches April 28 and 29 at a pop up sale and exhibition at El Diablo y La Sandia Boca del Monte in the historical center of the city of Oaxaca, in southern Mexico. The textiles have been handwoven by 24 Zapotec weavers from San Bartolo Yautepec in the Sierra Sur region of the state of Oaxaca. The special launch event is the culmination of the textile design project sponsored by the Marvin and Sylvia Rubin Family Foundation and supported by the R.I.S.E. Artisan Fund.

As part of a series of “fireside chats” sponsored by R.I.S.E. Artisan Fund, Hema Shroff Patel and Maddalena Forcella discussed their approach to design, heritage crafts, and their design studios. Both designers work collaboratively with highly skilled spinners, dyers, and weavers, and share a passion for the art and craft of textiles, sustainability, and improving the quality of life in their communities. Shroff Patel, founder of Amba, joined the conversation from Mumbai, India, while Forcella, founder of Madda Studio, spoke from Oaxaca, in the highlands of southern Mexico.
